Okay... so I know that today is World Card Making Day, but you know when you get something in your head and you just can't shake it? Well, from the first time I spied this cute fairy from Lizzie Anne Designs, I've had this idea about a tooth fairy container. My daughter, who is 5 cannot wait to lose a tooth. Every time her brothers lose one, she claims she has a couple that are "ready for the tooth fairy". I hate to disappoint her, but none of the boys lost teeth until they were in first grade. Hey.... at least now we are prepared... right?
This was SO easy, and so much fun to make. The paper is from Chatterbox. It's the premium two sided kind... very sturdy. It's called Garden Swing Stripe. I used Mod Podge to adhere it to the tin. I then used my Crop-a-dile to punch holes all the way around and added Rhinstone brads from SU! for some bling bling. Girls love bling ya know ;). I used my Coluzzle to cut the cirlces for the top. I don't have that big or mega scallop punch, but my friend Beate sent me some a long time ago punched out in whisper white card stock. Her dress is SO soft and beautiful. I colored the bottom portion with my Quickie Glue pen then sprinkled over the top with Pixie Pink Fun Flock. How cool is that? Averie loves that part!! I added a tiny star jewel to her wand and of course added sparkle with the Sakura Glitter pen.
Here is the complete recipe:
Stamps: Fairy (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Paper: Chatterbox, Whisper White card stock
Ink: Palette Noir Black, Stampin'Write Markers, So Saffron, Bashful Blue Classic Ink pads.
Other: Rhinestone Brads, Circle Ice and Fire Square (Stampin'Up!), Crop-a-dile, Word Window Punch, Coluzzle, Quickie Glue Pen, Fun Flock, Sakura Glitter Pen, Ribbon (unknown), Daubers, Stampin' Sponge, Snap Stamps.
